Week of January 7, 2008

Welcome to the New Year of 2008. Our GENRE for the month is Fantasy. Books have been pulled from the shelves and placed in the GENRE area. Please look for a new book in this section.

Week's schedule--Monday, January 7 Mr. McCullough Leaders group will be doing research in the library and Mr. Hopwell and Mr. Walker's English classes are scheduled for a book exchange.
Tuesday, January 8 Mrs. Rocco's classes are scheduled for book exchange.
Wednesday, January 9 Mrs. Gougeon's English classes are scheduled for book exchange.
Thursday, January 10 Mrs. Cassar's English classes are scheduled for book exchange.
Friday, January 11 Mrs. Frazier's English classes are scheduled for book exchange.

Milwood Magnet announces the first student to qualify for the I READ poster for this school year. Susmitha Daggubati has read 10 books. Her picture was taken with her favorite book. An I READ poster will be created and displayed in the library. Congratulations to Susmitha.

7th grade students need to return all over due books by Thursday, December 20th to be able to attend the school dance on Friday.

Monday, December 17, 2007 -- Mrs. Cassar's English classes are scheduled to come to the library for book exchange.
Tuesday, December 18, 2007 -- Mrs. Frazier's Connections class is scheduled to will come to the library for book exchange. Mrs. Buchholz's classes are scheduled to also come to the library for book exchange.
Wednesday, December 19, 2007 -- Mrs. Cook's English classes are scheduled to come to the library for book exchange.
Friday December 21, 2007 -- Mrs. Burke's English classes are scheduled to come to the library for book exchange.

December 2007

The Genre for the month is Mysteries. All mystery books from the library have been pulled to a special section for students to select a mystery book.

We have added an area to the library called the BoysZone. Books in this area are books recommended by boys that other boys might enjoy.

Thursday, December 6--Ms. Burk's classes will be in the library for book exchanges.
Friday, December 7, we welcome Congressman Fred Upton who will be meeting with 8th graders in the library.
